One of the biggest pieces of advice I give every couple is this: don't pack your wedding day so full that you forget to enjoy it.

A thoughtful timeline doesn't just help everything run smoothly—it gives you the chance to be fully present with the people you love most. Here are a few tips I always share with my couples.

Start Your Day Earlier Than You Think

Hair, makeup, and getting ready often take a little longer than expected. Adding extra time into your morning creates space to relax instead of feeling rushed from the very beginning.

Leave Room to Breathe

Not every minute needs to be scheduled. Some of the best moments happen naturally—a hug from your grandparents, laughing with your bridal party, or taking a quiet moment together after the ceremony.

Building in small pockets of time allows those memories to happen.

Consider a First Look

There's no right or wrong choice, but a first look can make your timeline feel much more relaxed. It allows us to capture many portraits before the ceremony, leaving you with more time to celebrate afterward.

Plan for Golden Hour

If your timeline allows, I always recommend sneaking away for 15–20 minutes around sunset.
